Introduction
The Keonjhar Central Co-operative Bank Ltd, Keonjhar is one of the 17 C.C.B.s in Odisha, covering the Revenue District of Keonjhar was established vide Regd No.69BL Dt.18.04.1950 and came into functioning on Dtd.09.05.1950. The Bank was granted license by the Reserve Bank of India on Dt.20.04.1982 under Section– 22 of B.R.Act.1949 (A.A.C.S.) 1980, the main thrust area of the Bank was limited to cater credit requirement of its affiliated societies. After that, bank started diversifying its activities by way of opening of new Branches in potential areas to mobilize substantial deposits. The Bye-laws of the Bank was amended in the year 1991 to facilitate enrolment of individual and corporate as nominal members to finance non-agricultural loans. At present 19 Branches, 194 Societies are affiliated to the Bank, out of which 17 are LAMPCS and 44 are Service Cooperative Societies.
